Master's Degree in Social Welfare:
Chusak recently received his Master’s degree in Social Welfare, a significant achievement after his initial studies in Airplane Business during his Bachelor’s degree.
A Change in Dreams:
Initially, Chusak dreamt of traveling the world and pursued his Bachelor’s in Airplane Business. However, after two years of working in the outside world, he felt the pull to return to Baan Unrak, realizing his true passion was to help others create better opportunities, just as he had received.
Deep Connection to Baan Unrak:
Baan Unrak was more than just a project to him—it was home. He wanted to give back and be part of the organization that nurtured him.
Childhood Dreams Realized:
As a child, Chusak expressed his dream of buying a bus to take all the children of Baan Unrak, including Didi (the main house mother), on trips and expeditions. Through his connection with the Japanese Embassy, he secured funding for a school bus and made his dream a reality. He often took the children and Didi on trips, fulfilling his childhood promises.
Vision for the Future:
From a young age, Chusak also thought about who would take over the management of Baan Unrak when Didi became older. He quietly began making plans on how to continue and improve the project.
Vice President Role:
Now, as the Vice President of the Baan Unrak Foundation, he has taken an active leadership role, ensuring the continued growth and improvement of the organization.
Academic Excellence:
With the support of a very good sponsor from Singapore, he completed his Master’s degree in social welfare with an impressive GPA of 3.64. He worked tirelessly, often revising his work multiple times to meet high academic standards.
Bright Future for Baan Unrak:
With Chusak’s knowledge and commitment, Baan Unrak now has a strong foundation for growth. His education and leadership bring confidence for a brighter future for the community and the surrounding area.
After his return to Baan Unrak, other former children began following his lead and coming back to serve the community. He paved the way for this homecoming, and we hope it will inspire more children, after completing their education, to follow his example and contribute to the growth and well-being of the next generation at Baan Unrak.
We like to take this opportunity to thank our friend cum donor from Singapore, 'Alfred' who made it possible for our youths to receive a tertiary education with living expenses sponsorship.
