Karma Yoga at Baan Unrak: The Work That Unites Us

Karma Yoga is an essential path for spiritual growth and social transformation. It is not merely work but action carried out with awareness, detachment, and service to the greater good. The work should be performed with a spirit of selfless service, without expectations of reward or attachment to the outcome, as true motivation comes from love and duty. This practice not only purifies the individual but also transforms society, serving as a means to create a more just world where everyone has equal opportunities.

Work performed with love and devotion is a way to connect with the divine. Therefore, before starting any action, we should always ask ourselves:

"Does this action benefit only me or also others?"

Here at Baan Unrak, we are one big family. A family that works together to face challenges, care for one another, and build a home where every child has the right to a dignified life.

Every Saturday, we gather to practice Karma Yoga. We believe that by serving with love and dedication, we strengthen not only the community but also our own hearts. Children learn from an early age that work done with intention and generosity transforms the reality around us.

On Karma Yoga Day, everyone contributes in their own way: children clean their spaces, make their beds, organize their rooms, and take care of their belongings. We also help clean and maintain our facilities, ensuring that our home is always welcoming for everyone.

Additionally, we engage in external work, such as distributing supplies to those in need, bringing solidarity and support beyond the walls of Baan Unrak. We believe that offering children an education that includes organizing their own spaces and sharing this energy with the community is fundamental for their growth.

Learning to care for their own belongings and to serve others awakens a sense of responsibility, discipline, and belonging. This habit generates profound benefits in the minds and hearts of all who participate, bringing clarity, lightness, and a genuine sense of connection and purpose.

The energy of this day fills and moves us. It is this collective strength that gives us the courage to move forward, to fight for every smile, for every rebuilt future.

Together, we live the true spirit of Karma Yoga: to serve with joy, expecting nothing in return, simply trusting that every action performed with love echoes far beyond what we can see.
