As the calendar turned to 2025, we at Baan Unrak embraced the New Year with open hearts, gratitude, and joy. Before we share our celebration, we’d like to wish all our readers a very Happy New Year! We hope you had an amazing holiday with your loved ones, filled with warmth, laughter, and lasting memories.
Here at Baan Unrak, our family gathered to bid farewell to 2024 and greet 2025 meaningfully and joyfully. We started New Year’s Eve with a meditation session, which allowed us to reflect on the past year, let go of obstacles, and set positive intentions for the year ahead. It was a beautiful moment of unity and mindfulness.
The New Year’s morning was just as special. Thanks to the kindness of our wonderful supporters, the children enjoyed a delicious breakfast to start their day. We sincerely thank these generous people who continue to make our celebrations special.
Since the children are on their long school holiday, we organized a fun vegetarian cooking competition to keep their creativity and holiday spirits up.
The children enjoyed showcasing their culinary skills by working in teams to prepare and present their dishes. It was a delightful way to foster teamwork and learn valuable skills while taking a vacation.
The evening was filled with excitement as the children received their New Year's gifts. Each gift brought joy and huge smiles, from dolls and outfits to toy cars and other delightful surprises.
To add to the festive spirit, every child was also given a small amount of pocket money to visit the local New Year’s fair, which they eagerly anticipate each year.
This year's New Year celebration also marked a meaningful new beginning. Baan Unrak welcomed two new babies into our family: a 6-month-old boy and a 7-month-old girl.
These little ones have found a new home filled with love, care, and opportunities for a better future. Their arrival reminds us of the spirit of Baan Unrak: to be a sanctuary of warmth and love for those in need.
Our New Year’s celebration truly reflected what Baan Unrak is all about coming together, sharing joy, and supporting each other like a big family.
As we step into 2025, we’re delighted to continue building on these values, creating more happy memories and opportunities for the children to grow.
