On December 7th, the children of Baan Unrak embarked on an exciting adventure to showcase their talents at EmQuartier Helix in Bangkok—
and they nailed it!
From yoga routines
Thai fusion dance
to Chinese-inspired acts,
cover dances,
heartwarming songs,
and a stunning fashion show showcased our children of all ages, symbolizing the joyful journey of growth and transformation—from childhood to adolescence into young adulthood.
The performances were filled with heartfelt energy, and the moments in between were just as meaningful. Our kids lived every moment to the fullest—whether during the show or throughout the day, embracing each opportunity with joy.
A Celebration of Growth and Transformation
The Metamorphic Joy Show was more than just a talent display—it was a celebration of the children's growth, creativity, and hard work. Like butterflies emerging from their cocoons, these children are stepping into the world with confidence and hope.
This event was the grand finale of Baan Unrak’s Leadership Journey program, supported by the ThaiHealth Promotion Foundation. The program aimed to enhance physical, mental, intellectual, and social well-being.
After months of preparation, the children participated in three special projects:
Project 1: Handmade with Heart
Under Kushuma's guidance, Baan Unrak Weaving Coordinator and Designer of the show, the children crafted beautiful handmade items: crochet pieces, small books, Christmas cards, keychains, and phone charms. They also worked together to create stunning costumes by painting hearts and embroidering them with shiny beads.
These magnificent costumes came to life in the fashion show at the Bangkok event.
Art has a profound impact on the children at Baan Unrak. It comforts them, helps them heal, and gives them a chance to express emotions while building confidence and hope.
Many of the handmade outfits were proudly showcased during the fashion show. Many weaving products were sold at the event, giving children a sense of accomplishment.
Project 2: Exercise for Health
Sumitra, Baan Unrak Physical Therapist, led this project to promote physical and mental well-being through activities such as yoga, hiking, and dance.
Teenagers love contemporary dance, which works every muscle, allows emotional expression, and helps them connect to modern life.
Yoga sessions encouraged mindfulness, balance, and self-awareness.
Hiking allowed the children to explore nature, build resilience and find peace. The yoga performances, featuring Thai and Chinese dances, were a highlight of the Bangkok event.
Project 3: Good Health with Vegetarian Food
Ice, Baan Unrak Social Media and Youth Engagement Coordinator, guided the children to create nutritious vegetarian and vegan dishes. This project fostered their understanding of healthy eating and encouraged culinary creativity.
The children also enjoyed a baking segment, where they prepared delicious baked goods. These treats were proudly displayed and enjoyed at the event.
The intimate audience included long-time supporters and new friends who appreciated the children's talents. This blend of old and new connections created a heartwarming and inspiring atmosphere.
Gratitude to Our Supporters
This event would not have been possible without the incredible support of Bromsgrove International School. Their kindness and encouragement helped us provide this amazing opportunity for the children.
We are so grateful to everyone who made this event a success.
The Journey Continues
Each performance, every project, and all the hard work remind us of the incredible potential within each child.
This event was not just a show—it was a testament to healing, growth, and transformation. We will continue to provide moments of joy and inspiration for the children of Baan Unrak.
