Here in our home, we love receiving visitors! Every encounter, every hug, and every exchanged smile is like a seed planted in a garden of human connections. Welcoming people from different parts of the world is an experience that enriches not only our children but all of us.
The exchange of experiences, knowledge, and, above all, love is something that deeply transforms us. And this exchange is not only valuable for us: for those who visit, it is a unique opportunity to discover a new reality, broaden horizons, and see the world through different eyes. This connection generates benefits that go far beyond the physical—it touches our minds and spirits, creating bonds that remain alive in the hearts of everyone involved.
In early February 2025, our hearts were filled with joy and gratitude as we welcomed a very special group: 77 students and teachers from Bromsgrove International School of Thailand. They arrived carrying love, inspiration, and a deep desire to make a difference. And believe us, they did!
When the donation truck arrived, it was impossible to contain our emotions. Seeing so many essential items for our children and the community around Baan Unrak filled us with hope and renewed our faith in human kindness. But more than the material items—which are of immense importance—what truly touched our souls was the transformative power of the exchange of experiences, support, and encouragement we received.
During intense and meaningful days, the students and teachers of Bromsgrove School dove headfirst into activities that left a profound mark on all of us:
Paintings and renovations that brought color and comfort to our boys' rooms, transforming simple spaces into cozy, vibrant places.
Sports activities that united hearts and celebrated the joy of movement, showing that play and games are universal languages of connection.
Lessons and curiosities shared in such a creative way that they sparked new dreams in our children, opening windows to a world of possibilities and inspiration.
Relief efforts, delivering food, supplies, and medicine to vulnerable communities, including those living isolated in the jungle, demonstrating that care and solidarity know no borders.
Cultural activities that allowed us to share our traditions and learn from one another, celebrating the richness of the differences that unite us.
One of the most emotional moments was the planting of the first seedlings in the garden of the new water reservoir. Together, we taught the children how sacred and essential water is in our lives, symbolizing purity and renewal. Water carries with it the energies and vibrations of the places it passes through, and for this reason, it must be treated with care, respect, and good intentions. We held a large collective meditation, channeling all our love, dreams, and hopes into that special space and the basil seedlings we planted. In addition to its culinary and medicinal benefits, basil is known for bringing harmony, peace, and aiding in physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. It was a magical moment where we united our energies to create an environment full of positivity and meaning.
Every person who visits us leaves a little bit of their hope and love for the world with us. And the Bromsgrove School community left much more than that: they left a legacy of generosity, unity, and inspiration that will continue to resonate in our hearts for a long time.
