Weekends at Baan Unrak are filled with joy and adventure, as we strive to provide opportunities for the children to explore the world outside of home. Every weekend, when the children have a break from school, we take them out to participate in various activities that connect them with the larger community and nature.
Playing in the river, splashing by a waterfall, or enjoying the tranquility of a pier has become a cherished weekend activity for the children. These outings allow them to connect with nature’s calm and beauty while creating joyful memories. We frequently bring along food for a delightful picnic to complete the experience.
We also take the teenage children hiking, where they learn to identify edible plants with the help of knowledgeable guides. They enjoy exploring new plants and even gathering a few to bring home. After their jungle adventure, they cool off by swimming in the river before returning home.
Sports play an important role in our weekend planning. We occasionally take the kids to the district's sports field, where they may play and bond over physical activities. On other days, we visit the local night market, giving the children a glimpse of the bustling community life and a chance to explore and enjoy the vibrant local culture.
Even on weekdays, after dinner, and if time permits, we go on short walks to watch the sunset from the wooden bridge. These moments are truly magical.
Every time we plan an outing, the kids burst into cheers of enthusiasm. While these outings are neither wonderful nor costly, they provide children with great delight. Their laughter and happiness are the greatest rewards to us.
When outings are impossible, we ensure the weekends at home are equally enjoyable. The children participate in sports, drawing, painting, and watching their favorite movies.
At Baan Unrak, we believe that weekends are not only a break from the routine but also an opportunity to inspire our children. Whether through outdoor adventures or indoor fun, we hope to fill children with moments of joy, learning, and love.
